Concept House 01 – Architecture in balance
Concept House 01 is conceived as a quiet study in contrast, where warm timber meets raw concrete in a calm, restrained composition. Rather than relying on gestures or ornament, the architecture is built from clear volumes and precise proportions, allowing material, light and rhythm to define the character of the house.
The street-facing façade carries a sense of weight and protection. Solid concrete elements frame the entrance and anchor the building, giving it a grounded, almost monolithic presence. Between these structural pieces, vertical timber panels introduce warmth and a softer, more human scale. The composition is deliberate and balanced, with glazing placed to reveal glimpses of life within while maintaining privacy.
Toward the garden, the house opens up. Large glass surfaces dissolve the boundary between inside and out, allowing daylight to move freely through the rooms and creating a gentle connection to the landscape. The architecture shifts from solid to transparent, from protective to inviting, forming a quiet dialogue between enclosure and openness.
Inside, the material palette continues with the same clarity. Concrete surfaces provide structure and calm, while timber joinery and natural stone bring warmth, texture and depth. The spaces are defined by light, proportion and continuity, rather than decoration. Social areas gather around the kitchen and dining space, where stone, wood and concrete meet in a balanced, tactile composition.
Concept House 01 explores how a home can be both robust and warm at the same time. It is an architecture of restraint, where natural materials are allowed to age with dignity, and where the atmosphere is shaped by light, proportion and material honesty.
